Inter-Pacific Bar Association held an important regional conference
Since the “One Belt One Road Initiative” by the Chinese government has been widely responded by the international society, the IPBA centered in Japan held an important regional conference in Dubai UAE on Oct.26th, 2015 with the main discussing issue of “the International Arbitration at the crossing road, from the perspectives of Middle East, Africa and Asia.”
At the opening ceremony, Talmiz Ahmad, former Indian ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Oman, and UAE, as well as Dhinesh Bhaskaran, President-Elect of IPBA and Malaysian Lawyer, addressed to the conference to affirm the great significance of “the 21st century Maritime Silk Road” to the development of International society. The written speech on “Dispute Resolution Mechanisms within China’s Free Trade Zones” delivered by Mr. Li Zhi Qiang, former vice chairman of legal practice committee of IPBA, the founding partner of Jin Mao Partners, received positive comments by lawyers and experts from various countries and regions. International lawyers from USA, Canada, Germany, UK, France, Japan, India, South Korea, UAE, Malaysia, Pakistan, Newzealand and HK had in-depth view-exchanging with lawyers form Jin Mao Partners. Many conferees believed the establishment of Free Trade Zone was a major step in the further open and reform policy of China. The Human Destiny Community will surely bring the legal cooperation community, so that the cooperation and communication between international lawyers are more to be expected in the future.
