Since the establishment of BRICS, BRICS has promote deep cooperation among its member states, not merely safeguard interests of developing countries, but also bring important development opportunity to the member states. BRICS 2016 Summit hold in Indian city Goa, and the Summit issued Goa declaration, the declaration cover a wide range of topics including strengthen ties with emerging markets, respect and abide the principles and rules of international law, cope with global security threats and infrastructure connectivity etc. BRICS 2017 Summit will held in Xiamen, China in September 2017, and it must further strengthen cooperation among Member States.

In order to construction of the BRICS countries' legal services international network, China Jin Mao Partners and Russia, India, Brazil and South Africa’s well-known law firms as the first members to establish the BRICS Lawyers Alliance in Shanghai China in October 31, 2016. Director of the overseas Chinese Affairs Office of Shanghai Municipal People's Government, Xu Li and Former Director of the Advisory Office of Shanghai Municipal People's Government, the Famous Jurist, Professor Li Changdao jointly unveil the nameplate of BRICS Lawyers Alliance.

BRICS Lawyers Alliance aim to expanding exchanges and strengthening cooperation between member firms, and promoting the legal and natural persons’ investment and financing activities in the BRICS countries. Meanwhile, providing a strong legal protection for the Chinese enterprises “Going Out”. The Secretariat of Alliance will locate at Shanghai. Furthermore, by strengthening business research and professional services, the members of Alliance will co-authored the book, Legal Service Guide of BRICS, and designed to jointly promote the legal services between BRICS member states.
