On the eve of “The Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation”, the Hong Kong Law Society organized and supported by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council and the International Bar Association, the Inter-Pacific Bar Association and the Union Internationale des Avocats, the forum“The Belt And Road”-- A Catalyst for Connectivity, Convergence and Collaboration" was held in Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center, Hong Kong on May 12, 2017. The Vice Chairman of the Chinese Political Consultative Conference and Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Leung Chun-ying, attended the forum and delivered a keynote speech. Director of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Zhang Xiaoming, The Secretary for Justice of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Yuan Guoqiang; Chairman and former Chairman of IPBA, Director of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, Chairman of the All China Lawyers Association and nearly 600 Chinese and foreign guests attended the forum.

Vice Chairman Leung Chun-ying witnessed the declaration of the Hong Kong Manifesto which has been proposed by the representatives of 65 countries and regions Bar Association, and highly evaluated the contribution of the participants and speakers to the forum in his keynote speech.

Three lawyers from Jin Mao Partner participated this forum, young lawyer Chen Shuo and Keanu Ou actively participated in the discussions of forum. Founding Partner of Jin Mao Partners, Jurisdictional Council Member of IPBA, Jack Li was invited to give an English presentation on infrastructure investment and financing under the background of bilateral and multilateral trade in the sub-session of forum. In his speech, he talked about the “The Belt and Road” infrastructure investment and financing channel, concerning the discovery and dilemma of high-quality infrastructure investment and financing projects and the results of the tax reduction and exemption of taxation between China and “The Belt and Road” countries, as well as the performance and development trends after proposal of “The Belt and Road” Initiative. Jack’s speech has been highly evaluated by the gusts.

Since the President Xi proposed the “One Belt One Road” initiative, Jin Mao Partners actively implement this national strategy.
