The 24th International Council of Commercial Arbitration (“ICCA”) Congress, highly praised in the arbitration community, is now being held in the beautiful city of Sydney, Australia from 15-18 April 2018. Up to 850 delegates from 65 countries and regions gather together to share this outstanding legal banquet featuring the exchange and mutual learning in the field of international arbitration civilization.

More than 30 Chinese delegates attend this congress, including judges from the Supreme People’s Court of the People’s Republic of China, arbitrators from leading International and Chinese arbitration organizations as International Chamber of Commerce Arbitration, Singapore International Arbitration Centre, Hong Kong International Arbitration Center, China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission, Shanghai International Arbitration Center, Beijing Arbitration Commission, Shanghai Arbitration Commission, Nanjing Arbitration Commission, Xi’an Arbitration Commission, and partners from leading PRC law firms in Beijing, Shanghai, etc.

James Allsop AO, Chief Justice of Federal Supreme Court of Australia, was invited to deliver a 45-minute keynote speech on April 16, 2018 and exchanged views with Jack Li from Jin Mao Partners and other Chinese delegates and took pictures with them.

The ICCA Congress is held every second year. The upcoming congress 2020 and 2022 will be held in Edinburgh and Hong Kong respectively.
