Panama City in the early autumn is picturesque and sunny.

On September 26, 2018, the Belt and Road Legal Research and Service Center Panama Station and Jin Mao Partners Panama City Representative Office has been established.

Abad Goon, senior commercial advisor of Panamanian Ministry of Commerce, Senior Investment Promoter Marlon Herrera, and Margarita Antadillas met with Chinese lawyers and witness the establishment of Belt and Road Legal Research and Service Center Panama Station and congratulated Jin Mao Parnters and Panamanian Lopez, Lopez & Associates Offices to establish friendly partnership. They will take part in the China International Import Expo took place in November 2018 in Shanghai.

Panamanian cabinet member and Minister of Maritime Affairs Jorge Barakat sent his executive assistant Yaritza Romero and general director of ports and maritime ancillary industries Guimara Junon to meet with all four-member delegation led by Jack Li, founding partner of Jin Mao Partners, at Miraflores. The former-lawyer officials said that the cooperation between the two countries in various fields is constantly advancing after the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Panama. I hope that the lawyers of the two countries will strengthen closer cooperation and push more economic and trade exchanges between the two sides.

China and Panama established diplomatic relations in June 2017. In July 2018, Shanghai Municipal Party Committee Secretary Li Qiang visited Panama, and Shanghai and Panama City established a sister-city relationship.

It is reported that the Belt and Road Legal Research and Service Center Panama Station and Jin Mao Partners Panama City Representative Office was established as the first-time cooperation among lawyers between China and Panama.
