Distinguished guests, leaders and colleagues:

I feel very excited to attend such a grand meeting today. I would like to show my appreciation to colleagues for trust in me and leaders for love for me. Meanwhile, I would like to deliver more thanks to distinguished guests present at the meeting--my old leaders and old colleagues, your attendance is the greatest support for me. Speeches made by you just now motivates me and gives recognition to law firms and lawyer cause and they are sure to be turned into mighty forces to promote development of socialist lawyer cause.

 

It ’s a coincidence of fate and opportunity that I come to work for Jin Mao Partners. Firstly, it ’s fate and providence; meanwhile what ’s more important, it ’s an opportunity. Development of socialist law cause provides opportunity for such coincidence and without it, it ’s impossible for me to work here.

 

It ’s of substantial responsibility and honorable task to work at law firm. Nevertheless, I am a freshman in this regard. I have been engaged in work of jurisprudence and law for more than fifty years: In legislation, I participated in formulation of Basic Law in Hong Kong; in justice, I ever worked at the Higher People ’s Court of Shanghai; in government legal consultation, I ever worked at Counselor Office of Shanghai Municipal Government; I took up law education work for a long time and ever worked in Fudan University; moreover, I also assumed propaganda work for jurisprudence and ever worked at Shanghai Law Society; I took on legal arbitration and ever worked for Shanghai Arbitration Commission. However, it ’s my first time to embark on legal service sector, which is the so-called new story of veteran. Therefore, I sincerely ask for your understanding and support.

 

Jin Mao Partners is a new law firm but with firm foundation. Therefore, it ’s in nature a new old law firm and of course also an old new law firm. It ’s deep and profound in internal power with enormous potential, good quality and vigorous energy. Currently, the new “Lawyer Law ” is being implemented. We must treasure this opportunity. By sufficiently and legally complying with new shining points of the new  “Lawyer Law ” and making use of this opportunity, we will bring into existence a law firm with considerable influence in Shanghai on the original basis under the leadership of Bureau of Justice.

 

I have self-knowledge that I ’m old aged with weak body and could not burden too much. Besides, I ’m much older than colleagues of the law firm which constitutes generation gap, for some one generation and for others even two generations. This is the fact that could not be changed. However, I ’m deeply convinced that as long as we bear in mind overall interests and development of lawyer cause, the generation gap may be mitigated. We shall make concerted efforts, harmoniously operate the law firm and strive for the same goal and direction.

 

Finally, I wish my colleagues great success in career;

             Leaders and distinguished guests healthy;

             And Jin Mao Partners more and more prosperous!
